Happy Holidays from the Guelph Engineering Alumni Association
Greetings EAA Alumni!
Lots has been going with Guelph Engineering in the last while so here is an update:
- Homecoming was a great success in September; the EAA held it’s AGM as well as a tour of the new SoE facilities. The day was capped off with a turkey dinner and party in the Faculty Lounge!
- A new EAA Board of Directors has taken their seats and hit the ground running. We’re happy to announce that Brad Dixon will be the EAA President, aided by Vice-President Mike Thomson, Secretary Dan Roth, and Treasurer Terry Rothwell. The Board directors are: Craig MacDonald, Kelly Pullen, Angela Catford, Steve Murray, Rishma Kassam, and Jenn Suke
- It’s that time of the year again: Careers night for current students at the SoE. On January 19th 2010 a panel of alumni will be on campus to chat with and advise undergrads (and graduate students). If you’re interested in participating on this panel or chatting with current students, please contact Jen Battler: jbattler@uoguelph.ca
- As always, we’d like to remind you that the EAA has some web 2.0 tools out there for you plug into! Check out our LinkedIn group and our website: http://guelphengalumni.com
- MARK YOUR CALENDAR – March 12th 2011 will be the EAA Annual Curling Bonspiel! Watch for an e-invite in the near future.
- Interesting factoid: Eden Mills, just outside of Guelph is making headlines and going completely carbon neutral. Check it out here: http://www.goingcarbonneutral.ca/
From the EAA Board, wishing you a very Happy Holiday and productive New Year!
